Terms of service
Effective May 14, 2026.
These terms govern your use of InsureDefense. They are intended to be reviewed by counsel before launch. By using the service you agree to these terms.
What InsureDefense is
InsureDefense is a consumer document-preparation service. We help you prepare an appeal letter and supporting materials in response to a health-insurance denial.
What InsureDefense is not
- InsureDefense is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation.
- InsureDefense is not an insurance company. We do not provide insurance advice.
- InsureDefense is not a medical provider. We do not provide medical advice.
- InsureDefense is not a claims adjuster or authorized representative unless you separately and explicitly designate us in writing for a specific purpose.
No outcome guarantee
We do not guarantee approval, payment, coverage, or reimbursement. The outcome of any appeal depends on facts, evidence, plan terms, applicable law, and the insurer’s decision-making — none of which we control.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information. You agree not to submit information you do not have the right to submit. You agree that the appeal package we prepare is yours to submit to your insurer in your own name (or your authorized representative’s name) and that you are responsible for submission.
Refunds
If our triage determines after payment that your denial category or plan type is not supported at the tier you purchased, we will refund or downgrade as appropriate. Otherwise, refunds for completed appeal preparation are at our discretion and based on whether the appeal materials were materially deficient as prepared.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fee you paid for the specific appeal at issue. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
Disputes
Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You and InsureDefenseagree to attempt informal resolution by writing to legal@insuredefense.com before initiating any formal proceeding.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers and posted on this page with an updated effective date.
